Classroom consultation supports teachers and administrators to be sure that they are using the most current best practices for supporting social-emotional health of children in their classrooms.
I have extensive experience providing classroom consultation with particular focus on early learning settings (i.e. serving children ages 0-6).
Each structured Classroom Consultation includes:
- interview with the administrator and teacher to get a sense of your goal;
- direct observation of one classroom at a time using the TPOT (Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool) or the TPITOS (Teaching Pyramid Infant-Toddler Observation Scale)*
- feedback session to review data and recommendations
- one-hour follow-up session (if needed)
If you determine that you need additional consultation time following these structured meetings, a separate agreement will be drawn up for us to continue to work together.
